Hacking, also known as trekking, trail-riding or rides out, is no more than a group or an individual riding out in the surrounding countryside. Joyden's Wood

Mount Mascal hacking comprises woodland in beautiful Joydens Wood, tracks and open meadows.

Many can even be reached without having to use a road!

Hourly rides can be taken entirely off-road over 1000 acres of forestry for which Mount Mascal has a riding permit.

Half-day, full-day and evening rides are regularly organised and are tailor made to the standard and fitness of the riders.

Group hacking is limited to experienced riders only.
