Riding School Services

Our riding school services are designed to help anyone who chooses to try to learn any aspect of our sport or improve their existing skills. We offer individual and group options to suit all abilities and ages.

Meet our horses & ponies

1st Time Riding

Our motto, Horsemanship for All (H4A) is perhaps especially important for the first time rider – adult or child. We know from experience that people who want to try our sport wonder what to expect, what a first time riding experience might involve and whether riding is going to be 'for them'.

We aim to make it as easy as possible for you to get started. All you need to do is call 020 8 300 3947 or email office@mountmascalstables.com to arrange an appointment - either a lesson or a viewing visit.

Before you ride, we will need to know your height and weight and you must complete a Client Assessment Form.

When you arrive for your first session, please report to Reception. We will provide and fit your safety head gear and introduce you to your Instructor. You will not need any specialist equipment or clothing but it is important to be suitably attired in long trousers, a long sleeved top and flat footwear with a small heel.

Your Instructor will introduce you to your horse and take things from there.

Returning to Riding

Under our motto Horsemanship for All (H4A) we welcome and encourage former participants back to our sport. We know from experience that there may be many reasons why you may have 'given up' and many ways forward from where you stand.

We aim to help you to ‘take back the reins'!

All you need to do is call 020 8 300 3947 or email office@mountmascalstables.com to arrange your Returning to Riding assessment session.

Before your session, we will need to know some details, for example your height and weight and we ask you to complete our Assessment Form.

We will provide and fit your safety head gear, so you will not need any specialist equipment or clothing. However, it is very important to be suitably dressed for the weather, wearing long trousers, a long sleeved top and flat footwear with a small heel.

When you arrive for your session, please report to Reception. You will be introduced to your Instructor who will take things from there, assessing your previous experience and advising you with regard to the best way to progress.

Already Riding?

We know that there are many reasons why someone who is already riding may be looking for a new equestrian facility. Whatever your experience to date, we will aim to help you.

All you need to do is call 020 8 300 3947 or email info@mountmascalstables.com to arrange your first session with us. We will need to know some details, for example your height and weight and we ask you to complete our Assessment Form.

You will probably already own correct riding equipment but, if necessary, we can supply and fit safety head gear and you do need to be suitably dressed. If in doubt please call 020 8 300 3947.

Please report to Reception on arrival, where you will be introduced to your Instructor who will take things from there.

We welcome horse owners - whether on-site or externally based -  to benefit from our riding school services. Special discounted rates apply when you ride your own horse for your session and trailer/lorry parking is available by request.

Breaking-in and schooling are also available by arrangement.
